I keep a glass of milk
right by the bedside --
"it's not for you baby,
it's for me"
We take each other in
and salsa in the horizontal
bevel -- I, nibbling
into your shoulder
Setting my tongue on FIRE,
dousing the FLAMES with
cow juice I had made
ready just for this --
You smile, realizing what I
meant all along, as I wait for
feeling in my tongue to return,
to go at it again...

In 2009...
Most of us will live,
some will likely die,
but life will move forward
in 2009
Change will come slowly,
it happens over time,
expect so in small steps
in 2009
Divorces will be final,
with new marriages divine,
love's still a mystery
in 2009
Rain will pound down,
as deserts run dry,
the Bushmen make do
in 2009
War looms above,
though Peace fills the sky,
may the trigger pull less
in 2009
Our taxes increase,
with jobs in decline,
Obama will fix this
in 2009
These are just thoughts,
I'm having in my mind --
the predictable uncertainty
of 2009...
***Happy New Year! And may we brave another year together, dear friends... ;)***

It Came To Me After The Garter Toss...
As I told y'all a few days ago, I was heading to the Bay Area for my cousin's wedding.
They kept a large glass near the bridal party's table where you can drop love notes to share with the newlyweds. Inspiration hit me with this:
Keep each other close,
In the moments that matter most -
So let your lives be filled with bliss,
Sweetly marked by many a kiss...
I don't know if I'm really back, but something tells me it never left... ;)

Yes, Women Say No To Me All The Time...
What is it about you?
What do you mean?
You know exactly what I mean!
I'm not following.
You go out with the hottest girls in town - in any town - for that matter! Do girls ever say "No" to you?
Of course they do. Who do you think I am, God?
Name one time that that's happened.
Well, just the other night, a girl couldn't stop telling me "No."
All right, now we're getting somewhere.
Yeah, she was like "No... don't stop, keep GOING! No... Harder! HARDER! No... DEEPER!" --
You're such a dick.

Fair Grounds...
Pick apart the Summer sun,
pouring out its happiness
To drink the fun in tea-leaf cups,
a return to corduroy innocence
Of fair-weather skies enriched in white,
the clouds no shelter from thy eyes
A minute more to embrace forthright,
the warm cheek's kiss to say goodbye
Up greener hills of untrodden paths
where journeys lay in silent sleep
It's there you'll see me surely have
A spritely skip, and promises to keep...

Screw Hybrids...
Wouldn't it be great if
cars didn't run on
gas
ethanol
grease
or
electricity
but on
Irony?
Of course,
the moment you want
to make that sardonic
remark just
won't happen
when you
turn
the
ignition...

Shopping List of Amorousness...
If you could be so kind
- pretty, pretty please -
Can you stop off at the
store and grab:
A bottle of Summer Kisses
Couple cans of Kinky Tickles
3 bars of Caressing Napes
2 lbs. of Rosemary Hickies
A sprig of Magic Mischief
and a dozen Saffron Whispers?
Oh, if they have Strawberry Buss
on sale, grab a few - if not,
I'll just make do...

Passages of a Saturday #1...
The light bleeds through the blinds, slicing the darkness of my room into ribbons.
I hear the faint sound of the TV jabbering away. Looks like I forgot to turn it off again before I went comatose.
It's still early, I could probably do some crunches to work off the Hawaiian BBQ feast I've been indulging in all week. I think some of it is still left in the fridge. If the vultures haven't gotten to it.
But I think I'll watch this week's episode of "Lost" on my DVR first.
It's not like my gut is going anywhere...
